Sleek Makeup: Luminous Pressed Powder

I'm not much of a liquid foundation person. Mostly because my skin type is combination/sensitive and the areas which are oily (the nose, chin and forehead) tend to be super oily as opposed to just slightly. I use a tinted pressed powder to give me sheer coverage (which can always be built up) and take away shine. Unfortunately it had come to the time when the pressed powder I was using was practically empty, and it was just my luck that this particular pressed powder was no longer available at Superdrug (for reasons unknown to me). And so began my search for a new pressed powder. The result of this search (as you could guess from the title) is the Sleek Luminous Pressed Powder in the shade 02.

(comparison of the two products)

If you're wondering about the luminous aspect of the powder, there is a very fine golden shimmer present, which doesn't really show up on the skin  (EDIT: In direct sunlight, the golden shimmer is definitely visible but not from afar. Probably best used when you want a 'glowy' look in the summer).
As it comes in a compact form, it's great for carrying around and makes a clip/snap(?) noise when you shut the compact. I probably wouldn't end up using the mini powder puff that comes with it and would instead use the E.L.F Studio complexion brush, simply because it's a great size and doesn't pick up too much excess product. This powder is definately the better match for my skintone compared to the NYC one. Maybe it's because of the lovely sunshine that's currently in London (and the rest of the UK). Overall, the Sleek Luminous Pressed Powder is definately a good choice for me and it was under £7, which is great!

What have you bought recently?
